Chilly Paneer is a popular Indian dish that is made with paneer (cottage cheese) and a spicy sauce. It is a great option for a quick and delicious meal, and it can be easily made at home with a few simple ingredients. Here is a recipe for making Chilly Paneer at home.

    Ingredients:

    • 200g Paneer (cottage cheese)
    • 1/2 cup corn flour
    • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil for frying

    For the sauce:

    • 2 tbsp oil
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1/2 cup diced onions
    • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers (optional)
    • 1 cup diced tomatoes
    • 2 tsp red chili powder
    • 1 tsp coriander powder
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • Salt to taste
    • 2 tbsp chopped cilantro (optional)

    Instructions:

    1. Cut the paneer into small cubes and set aside.
    2. In a bowl, mix together the corn flour, all-purpose flour, and salt. Add enough water to make a thick batter.
    3. Heat oil in a pan for deep-frying. Dip the paneer cubes in the batter and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy.
    4. Remove the fried paneer from the oil and set aside on a plate lined with paper towel to remove excess oil.
    5. In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil. Add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
    6. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
    7. Add the onions and bell peppers (if using) and sauté until they are soft.
    8. Add the diced tomatoes, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the oil starts to separate.
    9. Add the fried paneer cubes to the sauce and toss gently to coat.
    10. Cook for a few minutes, until the sauce thickens and the paneer is heated through.
    11. Garnish with chopped cilantro (if using) and serve hot with rice or roti.

This recipe is a simple and delicious way to make Chilly Paneer at home. You can adjust the level of spiciness to your taste by using more or less red chili powder. You can also add other vegetables like mushrooms, carrots, or broccoli to make it more nutritious. Chilly Paneer is a versatile dish that can be served with rice, roti, or naan. It can also be used as a filling for sandwiches or wraps. Give it a try and enjoy your homemade Chilly Paneer.
